ATLANTA, Ga. – The United States Olympic Committee and WIN Products, Inc. have announced a new licensing agreement that makes WIN Detergent the Official Licensed Laundry Detergent of the U.S. Olympic Team. The partnership will introduce a new, sports-specific laundry detergent called “WIN,” the world’s first oxidized formula specifically designed to eliminate the embedded sweat and odors found in performance athletic apparel. It is the first official licensed detergent of the U.S. Olympic Team and is a product that will be used at the U.S. Olympic Training Centers nationwide.

For years, athletes have been using high-performance micofiber apparel which features moisture management and body heat mitigation. However, these products retain bacteria which is attracted to the sweat trapped in the microfibers that provide the performance benefits. The result is a musty odor that traditional detergents have not been able to remove.

"WIN’s super oxygenated system directly targets the bacteria oxidizing the offensive odors and stains associated with performance products that have become popular among elite-level athletes and weekend warriors alike," said Jeff Crow, president of WIN Products Inc., the makers of WIN Detergent. Independent testing at Shuster Laboratories in Canton, Massachusetts has proven WIN’s superiority over traditional leading detergents and specialty products in removing sweat and odor from all fabrics. This highly engineered product effectively removes bacteria, but remains safe and gentle for all colors and fabrics.

The International Health, Racquet and Sports Club Association (IHRSA) estimates that 41% of the 40 million consumers who belong to health clubs exercise at least 100 times a year. Many of these committed exercise enthusiasts use performance apparel along with hundreds of youth athletes in football, baseball and other sports fans who use performance apparel as their base-layer of choice.
